The season runs from May to October. June and September offer long days, warm sea and gentler light; July and August are the height of summer. Outdoor ceremonies by the sea or under olive trees are possible for most of the season.
Deciding from a distance
Most international couples working with the studio see their venue in person only once or twice before the wedding. The process is built for that.
The remote process
The studio starts with a video call. Venues are scouted with photo reports and video walkthroughs; suppliers are presented with portfolios and quotes you can compare from home. Usually two trips to Italy are enough: one to choose the venue and meet the key suppliers, one for tastings and final details.
Getting here
Lamezia Terme International Airport is the main gateway, with seasonal direct flights from major European cities; Reggio Calabria and Crotone airports serve the south and the east. High-speed trains connect Rome and Naples to Lamezia Terme and Reggio Calabria. The studio plans the logistics around the venue so that your guests’ arrival is simple.
Three kinds of ceremony
A civil ceremony is legally binding and takes place at the town hall or in venues authorised by the municipality. A Catholic ceremony is also legally valid in Italy and involves paperwork through your home parish. A symbolic ceremony can be held anywhere, with a legal ceremony at home before or after.
Documents
For a civil ceremony non-residents need a nulla osta or equivalent certificate from their consulate, passports and sworn translations where required. The studio explains exactly what applies to your country and manages the timeline with the municipality.
